Haniel (Hebrew: "Joy of God" or "Grace of God"), also known as Anael, Hanael or Aniel, is an angel in Jewish lore and angelology, and is often included in lists as being one of the seven archangels. The name Haniel probably derives from Hebrew hana'ah, "joy", "pleasure" (qualities associated with Venus) + the suffix -el, "God".
Judaism folklore states that an angel of the principalities, carries a sceptre, cross and sword. Haniel has been said to appear as an extremely beautiful woman. He symbolises beauty, friendship and pleasure. He’s purported to be able to turn something that’s barren into something fruitful, and change your mood from one of great sadness to happiness.
Haniel is a master of the lessons of polarity and duality and of synchronicity, who brings together friends and lovers and then supports them in their relationships. He also rules all matters of peace, beauty, grace and art and brings harmony and inspiration to our lives.
According to Judaism, he belongs to the hierarchy of the Eloheem. His God name is YHVH Tzabaoth, and his ruling planet is Venus. Haniel is also said to be closely associated with Enoch, and that it was Haniel who escorted Enoch to the spiritual realm. Haniel was also associated with Lucifer, before he became the fallen angel.
|In the Kabbalah Haniel rules sphere 7 - Netzach, which corresponds to "Victory".|
